There is a new restaurant in town called Show Me’s. It is located where Sam’s Steakhouse used to be, on third and Voorhees Streets. Me, my boyfriend and I friend went to this place on Sunday to watch the Colts game. This place is very big in the inside; it is covered with plasma and screen tv's, games, and lots of things. The only thing I didn’t like was seeing young ISU female students who work as waitresses, wearing very short shorts and tight tank tops. I know some of the girls who work at this place, and their parents most likely have no idea what their daughters are doing. They voluntarily put themselves into a dangerous situation by exposing their bodies to drunk men for money. I think they should be a stricter age limit enforced on the girls who work at this place.

The Larry Legend Foundation
Brad Fenton, a student majoring in business at ISU, came to my RCSM 236 class today to talk about a new student organization called “The Larry Legend Foundation (LLF)”. This foundation promotes the building of a statue in honor of Larry Bird in front of the Hulman Center. Larry Bird is a retired NBA basketball player who spent 3 years playing for the Sycamores and led them to the NCAA championship game in 1979.
At the Larry Legend Foundation website: http://larrylegendfoundation.com/index.html, you can find more information about the statue and see what it will look like. You can show your support to the foundation by becoming a member, signing a petition or by giving a donation. You can also become a fan of the LLF on Facebook.
Fenton, who is the founder and president of the organization, believes that building the statue in Bird’s honor, will bring the Terre Haute community together, and have a positive outcome. What is your opinion?

Why Terre Haute, Indiana?
I came on my campus visit at the end of last year. The first thing that caught my eye about Terre Haute was the amount of good restaurants it has: The Olive Garden, the Cracker Barrel, the Red Lobster, Applebee’s, Ihop, Steak and Shake, and Texas Road House. I spent two years living at a small city in Iowa, and I wanted to live at a bigger city that has more places to go and more things to do. Some people hate Terre Haute, but I personally like it. I think this city has good things to offer, that many people haven’t seen yet. I can’t wait to learn more about Terre Haute and discover its past secrets.

Diversity at Indiana State University Campus
My name is Ana Maira Charun, I am 20 years old, and I am currently an international student at Indiana State University. I was born and raised in Lima, Peru (South America), and I came to the United States two and a half years ago on a full scholarship to play volleyball and go to college. I've had the amazing opportunity to meet new people from different cultural backgrounds, make new friends, learn a new language, get work experience and learn new things from other cultures.
The International Affairs Office is the place on campus where all international students get the information and support they need to be successful in class, and follow the immigration laws of the United States. It organizes different activities and cultural events where students get the opportunity to learn about other students from different countries and their cultural backgrounds, make new friends and learn new things. These events and activities have given me the opportunity to meet other students from the Middle East, Japan, Korea, China, Mexico, Canada and other places around the world. I think it is amazing that so many international students have the opportunity to come to the United States to study and become successful.
It is always hard at the beginning because you are at a new place where you do not know anyone, and you speak a different language. It is hard when you do not have your parents or best friends from back home around you anymore, but it is a good experience. If you stay positive, and are open minded, you will make friends easily.
